Not Being Strict About the "Why"
by Matthew Van Atta
It turned out my two decrees were a little too hard to write with-- having every vowel represented in every sentence is not usually too difficult. But requiring every single word to have its vowels appear in alphabetical order severely limited word choice. The title was created to create a little wiggle room with the letter Y. Opinions about it being a vowel or a constant vary wildly and requiring the use of Y's added too much stress on many sentences.
