Dissertation X

Each of the sets of words actually represents a famous book. The words are broken down homophones for great novels but need to be rearranged into the proper order before they make sense, thusly:

1) Bode, Rye, He’s, Vial
Vial Bode He’s represents Vile Bodies by Evelyn Waugh
2) Hex, Hay, Mow, Grade, Shuns, Pecked.
Grade Hex Pecked Hay Shuns represents Great Expectations by Charles Dickens.
3) Chest, Hurt, Tier, Hours, Bar
Bar Chest Hurt Hours represents Barchester Towers by Anthony Trollope
4) Wren, He, Fore, Hick, Knew, Wrest, Oft, Chilled
Chilled Wren Oft He Knew Fore Wrest represents Children of the New Forest.
5) Ma, Bead, King, Board, Tequila
Tequila Ma King Board represents To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.

Now, you will notice that from each set of words there is one word left over once we’ve unscrambled each set. Those words are
RYE-MOW-TIER-HICK-BEAD
These should be rearranged thusly: MOW BEAD HICK RYE TIER or MOBY DICK WRITER.
The author of Moby Dick was HERMAN MELVILLE. He is the subject of the dissertation.
