The world needs you once more, 007!

Your arch-enemy Ernst Stavro Blofeld has collected some of your most dangerous opponents around him and threatens to take over the world. Only you, helped by your friends, and surrounded by eye-candy, can stop him!

The rules (you should know them):

01] Have fun and don't be a jerk. Please have consideration for the other players and the mod, and actually PLAY the game by posting and voting.
[02] No communication outside the thread unless your role allows you to do so and then only in the game's nights.
[03] Get your choices in before the deadlines. If not, a random choice will be made for the first night, and no choice for subsequent nights.
[04] No quoting my or others emails/PMs.
[05] If you're dead YOU'RE DEAD. No more posting relevant information after that.
[06] Lynching will be carried out once a regular majority is reached - and cannot be undone by unvoting. If I impose a day deadline, lynching will require at least half of the regular majority. In case of a tie, first come first served. In the endgame (six players or less) only lynches with a regular majority will occur.
[07] Only votes in BOLD will be counted. Please clearly unvote if you want to change your vote.
[08] Do NOT edit or delete your posts! If you made a coding error, just post again. Do NOT post in invisible text.
[09] If you know you will be absent for say 72 hours or more, please post in the thread to that effect or let me know by a message if the thread is in the night phase.
[10] You are not allowed to quote or paraphrase your winning condition, unless you want to risk a modslaying.
[11] It is risky to lynch someone based on spelling errors in their role name. I have been known to make some in the set-up of my games.
[12] The mod is always right. Accept the decisions, and if you want to discuss them, take it to email, or do so after the game has finished.

The roles:

Player name: Fuldu
Game role name: Miss Moneypenny

Generic role name: retired cop
You are Miss Moneypenny. If worst comes to worst your long experience in the department will allow you to take over the role of M as scum finder.

Player name: Kaoru dono

You win when all the bad guys/girls are eliminated, and there is still at least one player alive on the good side.

Scene 1. London, 2006. A grey January morning, with icy fog swirling through the streets. Far away the smothered sounds of the Big Ben. Grey roads, grey people. And a touch of red. As the camera zooms in, we see that the red is blood. Just round the corner, a body. Poor Miss Moneypenny (Fuldu), cruelly bitten to death.
Another street, another corner. Another corpse. A very pretty one, Natalya Fyodorovna Simonova (Kaoru dono). She has been shot.

Eighteen players left, ten to lynch. Go for it.

I didn't recognize her, but I wanted to so I went to IMDB. IMDB calls her "Natalya Fyodorovna Semyonova", so I'll abide by DP's advice. She was a townie, so it doesn't make any difference anyway, but I'll file it away for future reference, since many characters had unusual names.

Well, it is Russian. I'm surprised DP managed to spell the rest of the name correctly. It would've been the typing variant of a tongue-breaker for me.

Good point, actually.

DP, next time you use deliberate mis-spelling of the rolenames as an anti-name-quoting-for-justification device, could you restrict it to characters who aren't hot? It seems only fair.

I think that I've seen all of the Bond films at some point (excluding any very recent ones. The last that I saw was the one with the character called "Christmas"), however, I don't remember the specifics from any of the movies very well.

The gunshot wound could have been by anybody. I'm not even going to try guessing at that.

The bite wound, based on a google search of *"James Bond" bitten to death*, could be by someone who had access to the sharks in "Diamonds are Forever". Still, based on the description, "bitten to death", I don't think that a shark would fit. I could imagine "bitten in half". Admittedly, she was "cruelly bitten to death" which leaves room for interpretation. Does anybody remember anything else that could bite somebody to death?

Richard Kiel played Jaws in Moonraker and The Spy Who Loved Me. My money is on him. he was also in Force 10 from Navarone (good non-Bond flick).

Jaws is more likely than the shark person. On an unrelated note, does the guy have any roles that don't involve him in a role of physical intimidation?

Well, to me it is obviously Jaws. The gunshot is most likely from Blofeld and his gang, considering that was in one of the first posts.

No random vote right now. *keeps an eye on Fritzler* I can't believe you are already voting for me.

Do you guys think that we have mafia and then an SKer? I doubt if any pro-town killer would try anything on the first night.

What do you guys find more likely, assuming that the two kills from last night were from all of the sources of anti-town killers (I highly doubt if we would have three anti-town groups with only 20 people, and I recall once reading that DP said something along the lines of 4 mafia being a good number for 20 people. I could try to find this quote, but I doubt if I'll succeed. I read it when I first found out about this place, and was probably reading old mafia games.):
a: one mafia group and 1 SKer
b: 2 mafia groups

I'm inclined to go with one group and one SKer. Maybe the mafia group can choose who kills each night, which might affect the manner of death. Would Jaws be likely to go solo based on the film that he was in? I'm just throwing out ideas.

Also, how do I change font size. My parenthetical digression ran rather long, so I wanted to distinguish it somehow from the rest of the text. I ended up using italics (which must come as a surprise to everybody reading this), but it would be nice to know for future reference.

Scum + SK sounds plausible, but so does scum+scum. I'm secretly hoping it's the latter, simply because I haven't played a game with that setup yet. Razz

Vote: zorT Kitty.

From what Quailman just quoted, 1 Mafia + 1 SK option looks the most likely.

Bitten and Jaws fit quite well. From memory Jaws was an assassin for SPECTRE until moonraker where he elopes with the braces girl and helps Bond a little. So that could be Mafia or SK.

We've also seen sharks and pirahnas and attack dogs as well, though I wonder if it was death by shark, the description would have mentioned them.

Shot could be just about anybody, only I'd expect SPECTRE to use more complicated ways of killing people.

I would agree that most pro-towners wouldn't kill night one, but sometimes they're not given a choice. And then you also have the general nutcases (no I'm not giving names!).

I think a solo Jaws is very likely. Gunshot is more non-descript and grouplike than that.

Wow, finally saw the thread started and posts abound already.

I'd be almost positive a bite death would be Jaws, but it is always possible it's someone's method of killing too, like Sanchez from Licence To Kill or Stromberg from The Spy Who Loved Me who kept sharks around for that sole purpose.

If Jaws is the SK, I wonder if DP could have created a role like Dolly (the girl with braces) who could seek him out and turn him pro-town.

I'm not really worried with 18 people alive, but I'm having a hard time believing the third vote on zort Kitty being anything near random.

So I'd like to know why you chose ZK over the other 16 players.
That should provide ample discussion of the type you asked for.

Yeah, I know, I just was curious about a scene with her and Pierce Brosnan.

At least, I presume it'd be Brosnan.

Her with Connery or (especially) Moore would just be wrong, methinks.

I know that post was going to cause trouble. I didn't say it was random.
I meant that since it obviously wasn't random, I would've liked to see a reason. Now you said it was blatant bandwagoning, which is good enough a reason for now.
