Welcome to Cheers, where everybody knows your name! Rumour has it that the mafia is about to try to take over this bar by force, only YOU can stop them.

The rules (you should know them):
01] Have fun and don't be a jerk. Please have consideration for the other players and the mod, and actually PLAY the game by posting and voting.
[02] No communication outside the thread unless your role allows you to do so and then only in the game's nights.
[03] Get your choices in before the deadlines. If not, a random choice will be made for the first night, and no choice for subsequent nights.
[04] No quoting my or others emails/PMs.
[05] If you're dead YOU'RE DEAD. No more posting relevant information after that.
[06] Lynching will be carried out once a regular majority is reached - and cannot be undone by unvoting. If I impose a day deadline, lynching will require at least half of the regular majority. In case of a tie, first come first served. In the endgame (six players or less) only lynches with a regular majority will occur.
[07] Only votes in BOLD will be counted. Please clearly unvote if you want to change your vote.
[08] Do NOT edit or delete your posts! If you made a coding error, just post again. Do NOT post in invisible text.
[09] If you know you will be absent for say 72 hours or more, please post in the thread to that effect or let me know by a message if the thread is in the night phase.
[10] You are not allowed to quote or paraphrase your winning condition, unless you want to risk a modslaying.
[11] It is risky to lynch someone based on spelling errors in their role name. I have been known to make some in the set-up of my games.
[12] The mod is always right. Accept the decisions, and if you want to discuss them, take it to email, or do so after the game has finished.

Flavour: Mafia taking over Cheers? Not if you can stop them. Any night you want to, you can send me a name of a player you want to eliminate. You will psycho-analyse your victim in such a way that he or she will at the end see no alternative than commit suicide.

Flavour: the stories you heard from your brother about this bar have made you insanely jealous. You decided to get rid of all of the regulars, and anyone else. Every night you send me your choice of victim. You will psycho-analyse your victim in such a way that he or she will at the end see no alternative than commit suicide.
Note: to a role name finder you will appear to be Dr. Crane.
You win when all other players at the end are dead, even if you’re dead as well.

Generic role name: cop
Flavour: Mafia, schmafia. With your education and knowledge of people, you will be able to see through anybody and determine whether they are mafia. Every night you can send me the name of one player, and I will tell you mafia or not mafia. A Godfather or a serial killer, should they be in the game, will come up as not mafia.
You win when all evil players are dead, and at least one player on the town’s side is still alive.

Flavour: As a simple bar tender, there’s not much you can do. Well, one thing. Only one night during the game, you can give one of the players so much beer that the next day they will have an amazing hangover and cannot post at all. Flavour: you never really fitted in, and when you heard the rumours that the mafia is taking over Cheers, you decided you would like to help them. If they can identify you as the traitor that you are, they can recruit you into their ranks. To increase you value, you can give them more information about the others. Every night, you can send me the name of one of the players, and I will send you their role name.

Call me braindead, but what sort of guarantee of fairness does that give?

Well, we haven't heard from Quailman or LoudmouthLee, but they haven't posted anywhere since before the game started so nothing useful there.

It seems like everyone is just indulging in random voting. Any thoughts on who could be mafia?

My first thought was Cliff (gone postal) = SK. He bores people to death of course. Who owned the restaurant upstairs? Weren't they evil for a while? And Rebecca's rich boyfriend?

What about the other bar, the one they always had those contests with -- were they for best Bloody Mary? They could be mafia.

I've mostly seen episodes with Rebecca, so I'm not too clear on the whole Diane thing. Was her and Sam's break-up good or bad?
