As the Peanuts gang gather for another day at recess, all is well. The birds are chirping, the teachers are relaxing and homework has already been done. Then, a vicious rumor begins to spread. Someone heard it from the school building that liked to drop bricks on people that some group is out and about getting people in trouble and putting them in time-out so they cannot enjoy recess. Who would do such a thing?? That is what the 20 members of the Peanuts gang is gathered to find out.
A whisper from the School building that drops bricks on people's heads said that there is a strange gang at work putting kids in timeout. All the Peanuts gang are gathered to ask the building who the gang is. There is no response! It seems the time-outs are already being handed out because the building doesn't even bother to drop a brick like it always does. Looks like we have to find out for ourselves who is doing these malicious acts.
This is how this game is structured: Day 1-> Night 1-> Day 2-> Night 2-> Day 3, etc... Because recess is only during the day, this game will begin on Day 1. _________________ "Love is the absolute expression of the human perfection" -Me!

THE RULES (stolen from Mgm, mostly)
[00] Newbies should try to make themselves familiar with the basic rules of mafia as described in the FAQ and theory sections on http://www.mafiascum.net (Reading my or Mgm's older games wouldn't hurt either)
[01] Have fun and don't be a jerk. Please have consideration for the other players and the mod, and actually PLAY the game by posting and voting. If you cannot post for some reason, please contact the mod.
[02] No communication outside the thread unless your role allows you to do so.
[03] Get your choices in before the deadlines. If you don't, a random choice will be made for the first night, and no choice for subsequent nights.
[04] No quoting role PMs or night messages. If you have a death wish, request replacement. When in doubt ask the mod.
[05] If you're dead YOU'RE DEAD. No more posting relevant information after that. One bah post is allowed.
[06] Lynching will be carried out once the deadline is reached or there is 1+ of the number needed to lynch, whichever happens first. If the number needed to lynch is not reached, then the highest is lynched. In case of a tie by deadline time, all those tied will be lynched. In the endgame (four players or less) only lynches with a regular majority will occur.
[07] Only votes in BOLD will be counted. Unvotes are mandatory.
[08] Only votes with players correctly spelled names (or abbreviations, see player list) will count.
[09] Do NOT edit or delete your posts! If you made a coding error, just post again.
[10] Do NOT post in invisible text.
[11] You are not allowed to quote or paraphrase your winning condition, unless you want to risk a modslaying.
[12] The mod is always right. Deal with it. _________________ "Love is the absolute expression of the human perfection" -Me!

Seeing as I take after IS, I will be joining whichever bandwagon crops up first. However, I don't like random votes so much, therefore I will not be posting one. |

| Shall we discuss possible game setups rather than wasting time with random votes? If Ctorj mods this like his virus mafia, then hes likely to have created weird roles or stolen them from other games... |

I like that. Humourous.
Game setup. Hmm... He probably has a masonry of maybe three people, or multiple masonries of two people. Probably some individual characters that have specific other people to interact with. Definitely some weird roles with weird powers. Maybe threw in some roles that could be construed as other than they are. As for mafia, it's probably setup like the DSI mafia or his Outbreak mafia. Most likely four of them, but there could be two groups of three (possible in a game this size). I am willing to bet that there is an SK, but we haven't had a night yet, so there is no telling.
Is that speculation enough for you? That should give people plenty to think about. I myself don't care too much at this point because we don't have any night info. |

This reminds me of some other game...
In well constructed games, day one no-lynches are bad. I think the logic works like this: The town has the advantage by starting in the day. By no-lynching, we change it to a night-start game, and give the mafia the advantage. |

Not quite ready to vote amb just yet, but I do want to say I found his "wasting time with random votes" comment in post 11 to be a little... strange. No, they arn't. However people seem to think that it is. So the few of us who hate it, just have to live with it.

There could be a cop result. Also, with every post there is more and more evidence. Flimsy evidence, while not a good basis for a vote later in the game, is usually the best thing we have on Day 1.
Personally, I don't see any problem with random votes. Random bandwagons are bad, but if the first few people vote at random, I see no harm. It gets people started talking, and talking is where you can catch people. |
