Please read your role carefully before posting to make sure you're not breaking any additional rules I've set in it and to make sure you fully understand everything I wrote.

THE RULES
[00] Newbies should try to make themselves familiar with the basic rules of mafia as described in the FAQ and theory sections on http://www.mafiascum.net (Reading some of my older games wouldn't hurt either)
[01] Have fun and don't be a jerk. Please have consideration for the other players and the mod, and actually PLAY the game by posting and voting. If you cannot post for some reason, please contact the mod.
[02] No communication outside the thread unless your role allows you to do so.
[03] Get your choices in before the deadlines. If you don't, a random choice will be made for the first night, and no choice for subsequent nights.
[04] No quoting role PMs or night messages. If you have a death wish, request replacement. When in doubt ask the mod.
[05] If you're dead YOU'RE DEAD. No more posting relevant information after that. One bah post is allowed.
[06] Lynching will be carried out once a regular majority is reached - and cannot be undone by unvoting. If I impose a day deadline, lynching will require at least half of the regular majority. In case of a tie, first come first served. In the endgame (six players or less) only lynches with a regular majority will occur.
[07] Only votes in BOLD will be counted. Unvotes aren't mandatory, but much appreciated.
[08] <this rule is no longer in effect>
[09] Do NOT edit or delete your posts! If you made a coding error, just post again.
[10] Do NOT post in invisible text.
[11] You are not allowed to quote or paraphrase your winning condition, unless you want to risk a modslaying.
[12] The mod is always right. Accept the decisions, and if you want to discuss them, take it to email, or do so after the game has finished.

Feel free to badger dybeck and Stuie to pay some attention and confirm the receipt of their role. Deadline revoked until I get them to read their role, or until someone signs up to replace them.

UPDATE:Everyone has confirmed. I'll work out the night's events as soon as possible.

Still a little dazed, you open your eyes.

"Where am I?"

"Platform One." says a voice from across the room. "Apparently we're in a space station orbiting the Earth."

Another person shakes their head. "Impossible. I was at home just a moment ago."

You too find it hard to remember how you got here. All you can remember was being at home and then a bright white light, before waking up here.

You decide to explore the place a bit. In a smallish room with a large window overlooking the Earth you find the crumpled form of Pooky lying on the ground. You approach him and gently shake him. Maybe he's been knocked out by the transportation.

"Hey kid, wake up. Are you okay?"

Pooky doesn't respond and you decide to do a quick examination. While there's no marks on his body, you quickly determine he's definitely dead and you jump back in horror, before you turn and rush out the door to tell the others.

***

Meanwhile DP wakes up miles (and years away) from all of this between coffins and dead bodies in Victorian London. Either his transportation failed or someone wanted him out of the way on purpose.

DP was transported to the wrong location and can therefore not take part in discussion and voting today

***

Out of breath you reach the others in the main hall of the space station as you attempt to explain your find to the others.

"I found a child in a room at the end of that corridor," you say pointing to one of the doors leading out of the hall, "I think he is dead." A collective gasp goes through the crowd.

"How?"

"That's just the weird thing. I couldn't find a mark on his body."

In the end you are asked to point the others to the body and you all go back to retrieve it. The sight that greets you is more gruesome than you imagined. While you were away, someone made sure the kid was dead by slashing him up.

Now he's lying in a pool of his own blood.

Pooky (The Empty Child) has been murdered

Some people start to throw up, others just turn away and quickly go back to the main hall.

"So who was away while I was telling you guys about what I found." Everyone shakes their head. "I can't remember. Wasn't paying attention to who was here or not."

Suddenly Sineish's metalic voice sounds and voices a word no one ever thought he'd say. "Mummy?"

You raise an eyebrow. "What?"

"Are you my mummy?"

"Quick!" someone shouts, "this is exactly what happened during World War II on Earth. He's been infected by some alien virus. We need to lock him up for our own safety.

And so Sineish is locked in the room with the dead Child. After 30 minutes his pleadings subside.

Sineish (Dalek) has been killed.

Now what? Then a female voice sounds over the station's intercom. Please make your way to the main hall for the destruction of earth and for lynching someone...

With 2 death and 1 person missing, there's 17 players accounted for and thus 9 to lynch. Good luck

Anyhow, tell me, how can I determine if post 10 was an attempt to use the dice function as opposed to an attempt to fake a random vote?

Also, do you know how to use the preview function? It may have saved you this hassle.

I forgot to use the preview function. And as the determination, you can't for sure tell which, but I find it interesting that you assume it was an attempted fake. Why would I do an attempted fake? That's so retarded on Day 1. Sounds like you already thinking scummy. Just an observation.

I don't assume it was a fake vote, I was just as happy voting for you for your inability to use tags or the preview function.

But now, it seems to me that you are being over defensive and insulting me for casting my little vote.

This certainly doesn't make me want to change the vote.
