The traitor had to wait for recruiting and was actually recruited night 1 (the rotweilers tried recruiting nights 2 and 3).
There were no goddogs.
Full roles and night choices when I get home. |

And Jedo, DP lives in the Netherlands like me (or did you move again?). Asterix is very famous here, and that's why him using Dogmatix wouldn't be all that weird. Just our luck, we had to deal with ignorant ***** (censored). I may have pushed a bit too hard on believing amb, but if I hadn't been scum with him, I still would've believed it. |

werebear, leonidas and myself had two shots at recruiting. But peregrin had already been recruited so we failed. At that stage we were unaware of the 2nd group of mafia, choosing to think DP had set up 1 maf group, a recruit and a SK. The night I got killed Leo and I were by then pretty certain that amb was the last pitbull so I took out Logain as being the most likely other pitbull. I internally remarked that he and I were playing a pretty similar game and thought maybe he was doing much what I was. Leo would have had amb the following night, so the town was in good shape as it happens.
Anyway, another great DP game, I must play more often. |

The roles as far as not revealed yet:
Player name: MGM, AMB, LOGAIN
Role name: PITBULLS
Generic role: MAFIA
You are pitbulls (mafia). You have no godfather. Each night you select one player to kill, and send me the name as well as who of you will do the killing (if you forget the last part, I will make the worst possible choice for you). There is a traitor in town who would love to join you. During one night of the game, you can decide to forfeit your right to kill and enlist the traitor in your ranks. He then becomes a full-fledged mafia member.
You have two safe role name claims, neither of which is in the game: REN (Ren and Stimpy) and DOGMATIX (Asterix).
Player name: CHIENFOU, WEREBEAR, LEONIDAS
Role name: ROTWEILERS
Generic role: MAFIA
You are rotweilers (mafia).
You have two safe role name claims, neither of which is in the game: SANTA'S LITTLE HELPER (The Simpsons) and PLUTO.
Player name: JEDO THE JEDI
Role name: BRAIN (INSPECTOR GADGET)
Generic role: COP
You are on the towns side and win when all the bad dogs are dead. You are able to determine whether someone is mafia or not. Send me a name every night and I will tell you mafia/not mafia. A Godfather will show up as not mafia. You cannot detect a serial killer.
mods note: sane cop
Player name: MADMAX
Role name: SCOOBY DOO
Generic role: COP
You are on the towns side and win when all the bad dogs are dead. You are able to determine whether someone is mafia or not. Send me a name every night and I will tell you mafia/not mafia. A Godfather will show up as not mafia. You cannot detect a serial killer.
mods note: naive cop
Player name: L'LAYNE
Role name: THE TRAMP
Generic role: HOBO
You are on the towns side and win when all the bad dogs are dead. Unfortunately you have no home, and staying out on the streets means certain death. So you choose every night a player at whose house you'll sleep. If someone tries to kill you, they can't find you. If someone tries to kill your host of choice, you get targeted as well - a doc would save you both though. If you choose a bad dog to stay with, nothing special happens.
Mods note: if the lady chooses the tramp, or if the tramp sleeps with the lady, they will get to know one another and stay together at the lady's place. They will both lose their powers, as they only have eyes for one another.....
Player name: TALITHA
Role name: AUGIE DOGGIE
Generic role: MASONS
You and Quailman (Doggie Daddy) are on the towns side and win when all the bad dogs are dead. As masons, you can discuss during the nights.
Night choices:
NIGHT 1:
Pitbulls: Logain recruits traitor
Rotweilers: Werebear kills Samadhi
Vigilante ralphmerridew: no kill
Cop Jedo (sane): Werebear = mafia
Cop Madmax (naive): IS = not mafia
Role name finder Sweetwater: Shanterusan=Muttley
Doctor IS: heals Talitha
Paranoid LML: awake
Hobo L'layne: stays with MadMax
NIGHT2:
Pitbulls: Shanterusan kills ralphmerridew
Rotweilers: Werebear kills IS
Cop Jedo (sane): mith = not mafia
Cop Madmax (naive): Chienfou = not mafia
Role name finder Sweetwater: Mgm = Pongo (Mgm is informed)
Doctor IS: heals Quailman
Hobo L'layne: stays with MadMax
NIGHT 3:
Pitbulls: Peregrin kills Quailman
Rotweilers:Werebear tries to recruit traitor, fails
Cop Jedo/Samadhi (sane):MadMax = not mafia
Cop Madmax (naive): Sweetwater = not mafia
Role name finder Sweetwater: Mackay = Snoopy
Hobo L'layne: stays with peregrin
NIGHT 4:
Pitbulls: Peregrin kills Sweetwater
Rotweilers:Chienfou tries to recruit traitor, fails
Cop Jedo/Samadhi (sane):Mgm = mafia
Cop Madmax (naive): Leonidas = not mafia
Role name finder Sweetwater: amb (sweetwater RIP)
Hobo L'layne: stays with Leonidas
NIGHT 5:
Pitbulls: amb kills L'layne - can't find her
Rotweilers:Chienfou kills mith
Cop Jedo/Samadhi (sane):L'layne = not mafia
Cop Madmax (naive): mith = RIP
Hobo L'layne: stays with Logain
NIGHT 6:
Pitbulls: amb kills Chienfou
Rotweilers:Chienfou kills Logain
Cop Jedo/Samadhi (sane):Leonidas = mafia
Cop Madmax (naive): amb = not mafia
Hobo L'layne: stays with amb

Oh ho so there was something hidden about Lady and the Tramp getting together. We thought there might be which is one of the reasons why we revealed when we did. So sweetwater would hopefully stay the heck away unless he was told something good would happen if he found us.
Also good to know someone did try to kill us |

I am developing the rather irritating habit of dying right at the end, in lieu of a more powerful role.
Addressing Mgm - I do not see why not believing the Dogmatix claim makes anyone ignorant. The Dogmatix part was fine, it was the self-protecting bit I thought completely inappropriate.
Anyway, yay town! I freaked out after I died, thinking maybe there were two traitors and MadMax was scum, or that there were two more GFs and Jedo wouldn't think to no lynch, etc. Glad it turned out as it did. |

Finally. Good job town.
A big I TOLD YOU SO about Leo, amb, and Mgm. Shame on all of you for not believing me sooner. (And I also called Muttley = Traitor! Ha!)
Good job to Jedo for catching scum and somehow managing to stay alive; though I would've been all for lynching him for some of the insane stuff he said if I hadn't been sure he was a Cop.
...to Mackay, for being the first to spot Jedo's voting pattern, which saved me and completely turned the game around.
...to L'layne, for a clever use of their ability to draw a night kill attempt, leaving Peregrin nowhere to run. Not surprised it was them that did something like this.
...to ChienFou, for being the only scum I didn't get once I was dead and DP told me how many there were.
...to Logain, who had me thinking he might be a cop until it became clear Jedo was one.
And now we have some fun post-game chatter, hurrah.
| Jedo wrote: |
Wow. You really are going to ride this out until the mod says you are scum. That is something. Kudos for your perseverence.
As for playing this evidence off, I hope you know that you really have no base. It was pretty explicit. Nice try though. |
Jedo, I don't think anyone but you is reading his post as a claim he used his potion. He had said the previous day that he thought your idea of him "using his potion" was scummy, and it's clear he was saying something similar here. I'm glad I taught you math instead of reading-for-comprehension, I'd hate to be responsible.
| Mgm wrote: |

I think the only possible thing he could've done to save himself for the day would've been to claim he was the Rottweiler GF; but ultimately, he was dead anyway. He wasn't going to get a double kill with someone and L'layne, as they hid with him.

I'm not sure where this came from... I don't recall Jedo saying anything about Asterix, that was Leo. Leo's point was that it was not particularly famous *outside* of Europe, but of course Leo was scum, so whether he actually believe amb or not is for him to say.
The "ignorant *****" bit is uncalled for, though. amb got lynched because Jedo had everyone else as innocent, and because he was clearly the most suspicious. And, at least in my case, it was not the name I disbelieved, but the explanation of his ability that he put with it.
As I said from early on, claims don't tell us much in DP games. There are always safe roles to claim for the scum (and I thought the way he did it in this game was quite clever). You seem to be suggesting we're all idiots for *not* believing a fake claim. |

*makes another mark on his tally for wins*
What a game! I'm surprised I lived until the end, especially with so many people picking up that I was the cop. I thought that I would be the one dead the night that mith died. It seems rather lucky that I lived.
Anywho, I could not have made it quite so far without Samadhi. The way he played off the suspicions that were on us and how he led the town to a scum lynch was pure genius. He did give me some tips about who might be suspicious, but I picked all of the night choices except Madmax (random by mod).
I really think that my not checking amb was good. It allowed me to clear everyone else and target two other scum that might have been unknown. The scum certainly did a poor job of picking some targets.
All-in-all, an excellent game, DP! I'm all in for Feline when you get it ready. Good job to mith for picking out the scummers, all the people who lasted to the end did a great job, and the scum, better luck next time. (Mackay, you're are lumped in there with the end game people. ) |

Apologies in order to my group I suppose. Especially amb.
The plan was to kill someone and blame mith. mith died. I was worried there might have been a role re-director of sorts.
It's slightly icky being a traitor for someone whose posts reek of scuminess during a read up. I was worried about the tag team posting for a while.
Plus, my initial access problems did not help.
Let's see if I can fix some of that in Follies.
Thanks DP. |

For several nights I kept telling my Mafia we need to kill Chien Fou. Hes being too quiet.
The really stupid thing is I was tied to Werebear before I knew there was another scum group and that really hurt my chances. I assumed WB to be innocent because he wasnt in with us.
I was rather annoyed with Peregrins attack and combined with Mgms admiration, I was actually amazed I survived as long as I did.
The ironic thing is, that I didnt want us to attack Llayne when we did but I got overruled by a better tactic (Kill Llayne, and have Peregrin finger Mith as tracker). Llayne didnt die. Mith did. And we could no longer alter our plan. I was really pushing for MadMax that particular night, who I thought was a threat.
Im cleared. I had no intention of killing Mith. I thought that tactically it would be a really bad move for the mafia. SO the other mafia did it for us... |

I planned on saying this when I claimed, but decided against it, because to me it looked like stalling tactics:
| Code: |
Really, I'm appaled that you guys give Peregrin another chance to "prove" himself after last night's fiasco.
If I'd known you'd all lose your senses, I would've claimed in the weekend. |
I considered several other claims.
*I'm Corneil from Watch My Chops, townie.
*I'm Gromit, inventor.
*We're 2 stupid dogs and we're looking for our our bone and, we're also checking other dogs to see if they got it. So far we haven't found our bone, but we've seen some interesting stuff happen.
*Also considered claiming Foofur.
And I had to go with the one claim that didn't work.... |

2. Dino from the Flintstones (Fatal if I chose that ) but I would love to have tried.
3. Lassie (Whoops I didnt read the real dogs message, and we didnt have photos in our PMs, Just as well I didnt do that...)

As far as I know I did tell, that's why I didn't want to immediately kill off sweetwater, he could corroborate my story if I claimed Pongo. But he knew I would be informed, and I couldn't think up a good power role to go with it, so I decided to play dumb. |
