I don't think either of them are bad. If Manaspryte is mafia, he just tipped his hand. If he's a cop, he's tipped his hand. We should not lynch either of them, and I propose that we don't force Brian to claim. That way, we have one more unclaimed townie.

Damn, I kept checking this thread each day before it started, then it finally starts and it's already on page two before I got here. I even had a silly song quote all ready for a random vote, too:

Mana: Are you familiar with different cop sanities? Do you have a good reason to believe you are sane? Usually it's good play to wait until day 2 before coming out with a guilty result in case you are paranoid or insane.
Also, it's possible there may be more than one cop pair in the game.

I'm not familiar with any of LML's game setups though, so if someone knows that he only ever uses one sane cop in his games, they should probably say so.

Dranko: If Brian's your partner, are you aware that we don't know for sure whether our partners are scum or not?
I'm not asking you to confirm who your partner is BTW, I'd rather keep that all under wraps right now.

I'm partnered with Cloudrunner. Each night, we receive a new pro-town power to use as we see fit. Last night, we became roleblockers and decided to block Jedo the Jedi, whom Cloud chose apparently at random. On the first night with no information, I didn't see any reason to disagree with his choice.

To be honest, I'm not sure how else I'm supposed to defend myself against "Brian is scum, trust me.", but some of Mana's recent behavior gets me concerned about his investigation.

I don't think the roles and partners setup is that complicated. Each team shares a night action (I'm sure there are few without night actions, though), so, both people have that power. Ie: manaspryte + partner ARE both cops. Now, one could be paranoid, one could be sane. That's why you have to pick which one performs the action. But, either one can do the night action, so they both have the power. You have to agree with your partner, so you both know that you are the same. If you had to agree and then always pick one person to do it, that would be different. Either one can try.

Also, I'm remaining steadfast on my vote for allforbrian, because he quoted one line of my and completely missed my -in character- song lyrics as if they were meaningless! I've played a bunch of role playing muds, and such a balant disregard for roleplaying irks me. That's right, I said irks.

I'm not sure about the "irony route" as it applies to mafia games, I've been familiar with the game for some time but this is the first one I've actually been in, so some of the coined terms I'm not familiar with. This one isn't too hard to guess; and I can assume it has to do with a proof of the following nature:

Given: Mafia people don't post in order to avoid being suspicious
Thus: People who post a lot are not mafia
Therefore: You should post a lot to prove you're not mafia.
