One last confession to make about my role: I lied when I said I could protect myself. I couldn't. I said I could and would to keep the Mafia from targetting me, while each night I protected someone else. I wish I'd been better at choosing people to protect.

TCM - I also had a strong suspicion you were lying.

Especially since there were apparently two doctors - if they both had self-protect it would've been way overpowered. But there wasn't a single other shred of supporting evidence...

Hagfy - you asked after your first death why you'd been chosen... if I'm honest with you, it's because I thought you were an SK. Dunno now why I thought that...

With Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle being protown, Millicent Bulstrode might have been a good claim.

Nah, she's often mentioned but not as important as the other Slytherins. IMHO of course.

It's over? Dispirited Ah well.

I will share tidbits with you sometime in the near future (maybe tomorrow), but for now I am too tired. I just thought I would check the progress.

I would like to offer congratulations to the Ministry Mafia. You played it well, despite having a retired mason in the other mafia. Also, congratulations to the Death Eater Mafia for playing it as well as they did. Town, better luck next time. Finally, a special nod to TCM for claiming that he could protect himself. It was a risk, but in the end it paid off.

I would also like to thank Courk for coming in and taking over in the middle so efficiently. She did a wonderful job despite me giving her incomplete notes regarding the game setup. Embarrassed How can I ever repay her?

Thanks to all the players for playing, especially the replacements. I hope you will sign up for my next game, whenever that may be. My mod skills are a work in progress, so I have to do better next time, right?

If memory serves me correctly it was McNair who executed Buckbeak, not Rookwood.

Yes that is correct Mgm. Also, Rookwood was a spy in the ministry, sent to azkaban and then escaped. he also fought at the department of mysteries if I am correct :/

The Harry Potter Lexicon has an extensive analysis of the fight at the Department of Mysteries. If he fought there, I'm sure you can find it there. My guess is that he did.

I got Rookwood wrong? I guess I need to reread Prisoner of Azkaban.

Setup info coming later. I promise.

Alright, here is the setup info for the game. I have finally gotten a good time to put this down and post it.

Death Eater Mafia: Lord Voldemort, GF (Kagredon), Lucius Malfoy (Madmax/Hagfy2), Rookwood (Uraj/StD)
As you know, the Death Eater Mafia killed by using Voldemort's snake, Nagini, to bite their victims. Like most GFs, Voldemort was immune to night kill and investigation.

Ministry Mafia: Cornelius Fudge, GF (dybeck), Bartemius Crouch (Coron/Lucresia), Jane Umbridge (Mr Stoofer)
The Ministry Mafia killed its victims by using the Avada Kedavra curse, although it is illegal. (Chucking people in Azkaban just wasn't doing the trick for them. Wink) Once again, the GF was immune to night kill and investigation.

Mad-Eye Moody, Vigilante(Dmi/big_kahunia): A one-shot vig that used a curse to kill its victims, though not Avada Kedavra. (I lost my creativity on this one and never decided exactly which curse he would use.)

Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, Role-finder (jadesmar): Instead of only receiving guilty/innocent results like a normal cop, Dumbledore could discover their actual role. (Note: I think I had decided that he would trump the GFs, but I don't remember and it never came up because he died the first night.)

Masons: Harry Potter (Hagfy) and Ron Weasley (cballs)
These guys were a typical masonry that could discuss and converse at night.

Potential Mason: Hermione Granger (zorT Kitty)
Originally, Ron and Harry were the friends and Hermione sort of joined later, thus her potential mason status. Each night, she would send me a person to try and find either Ron or Harry. If she did, she would have joined the masonry. If she did not, she would continue her search the next night. (Note: She never joined them because they died so quickly. But you already knew that.)

Doctor: Madame Pompfrey (TCM)
Really, just a standard doc that could protect everyone but themself. Interestingly enough, TCM PMed me asking if he could protect himself. I told him no, so he decided to pretend that he could anyway. It was an excellent ploy and apparently kept him alive throughout the game. (Rather selfish, really.)

Cops: Severus Snape (Leonidas) and Gilderoy Lockhart (Quailman)
Standard cops that would receive guilty/innocent results for the people they investigated. Snape was sane and Lockhart was naive (innocent results) because of the memory charm on himself. Revenge most foul! I don't know if da Q ever picked up on that, but I personally thought he would.

Townies: Gregory Goyle (Mgm), Vincent Crabbe (Lee), Draco Malfoy (Digit Ne), Professor McGonagall (Xylax), Sirius Black (referee), Remus Lupin (esme)
Standard townies.

Special Notes:

I had many ideas that could have made the game much more interesting, but I think it would have required more players to balance out the game. For instance, I thought about creating an Order of the Phoenix masonry, or a Draco Malfoy masonry with Crabbe and Goyle. I might even have created yet another mafia with Draco and his cronies, but like I said, the game's balance would have been majorly thrown.

The Death Eater Mafia had a very good position after night 1 with the elimination of Dumbledore and one of the Ministry Mafia dead. Unfortunately, with the need for multiple replacements, they couldn't hold on to their advantage and ended up losing.

Dmi killed cballs with his vig shot on night 3 thereby eliminating any chance that zk could join the masonry. Thus, she was effectively useless except as a head-strong townie.

Both Mafias targeted Leonidas on night 4 ridding the town of its only useful cop. Originally, I was going to make Quailman receive opposite results instead of all innocent results, but I thought that would give the town too much of an advantage. When jadesmar died night 1, I thought about changing it back, but decided against it. The town might have won if I had changed his sanity.

TCM prevented only one kill besides his own. Wink
