Hey, Heather's not even FROM Maine, so I don't see what you're complaining about. Unless you're just jealous that so many of us know Groza...
And Heather, welcome to the GL, even though you've been registered for a while. |

Dead end/one way street? There must have been a democrat responsible.

It's my 21st birthday, and today is going to suck. I wouldn't mind so much, except birthdays aren't supposed to suck! Not 21st ones, anyway.
I'm lonely already and it's only 3 or so hours in. |

When heading out this morning, I was greeted by a swath of snow, approximately 3 feet wide and a foot or so high, a band of snow which had obviously been shoveled deliberately into place. ("Travis, (that is his name) I know it's you and that Tottingham kid, you evil b***ards!")
This, 'pile' was found near the neighbors driveway down the street. My house is the last place on this redneck drive , I live in a blind alley with no way out - a 'cul de sac' if you will. These sled-head neighbors 'control' and rule the drive, my drive that goes past their house.
This snow was obviously put there on purpose by the 'snowmobile-kids'! I began to fume!! This is when the phone calls first began.
I called and called. Left two machine messages that were quite kick ass - frank, no cussing - nice - but all business.
"Hi, this is andy. Just trying to find out about the snow that was deliberately put there - why, ...and what we might be able to work out".
I get off the phone and I'm thinking about razor wire and ak 47's.
I have had enough of the snowmobiling and now this!
I kept calling and calling. Finally the neighbor lady answered. This was an hour ago or so.
"Hello, Carmen?"
"Yeah?"
"Hi Andy (calling), did you get my answering machine messages?
"One of them."
"Well, what's the scoop?" (that's really what I said. I felt I needed the dumbo-y pun at the time)
She said she didn't know, that she just had surgery "women issues" and was trying to rest.
I ask if I can talk to David, her husband. She said, "David doesn't live here anymore".
Apparently they split up not too long ago. I was flabbergasted. Anyone could have seen how close they were as a family. This guy has three kids, is a really good dad to them, they're good kids too (except when it snows)
She (Carmen) said the kids would clean up the snow. I felt like shit. Like total shit. Since she just had surgery, I offered to go to the grocery store. She said she was okay. I insisted that she call if she needs any groceries (like salami, she might want some salami or ham or something) or anything else.
So the gist of this post is, first I get 'snowed in'. Then I learn the nice neighbor lady is layed up from surgery. Now she's 'single'.
But I'm completely un-dateable now. Sessie won't even return my private messages.
Life sucks and I would like to admit to the whole world that I am a loser, once and for all.
All I wanted to do, my last goal in life was to grow cauliflower for the fractal thread.
But I just know they wouldn't turn out as well as extro's pics anyway.
I just know they wouldn't.

I feel like I should give you something, but I don't know what. Well, how about some chocolate and a note from Carmen Electra. That ought to be good for starters. I'll let the women-folk handle the rest. |

Thanks Jedo, but I don't particularly like Carmen Electra. She seems kind of baywatchie and fake boobie. Nicole Kidman, now, yessiree.
I would like to blurt out my secret crush on this message board. But I don't want to make her depressed. So I secretly tuant her. And tuant her some more.
I have never known any other way to show my love. |

Sorry, ladies, I don't like doing this, but...
Looking for a job is such a pain in the fucking ass! Not only do I have to depend on my mother to take me places to get applications and such, but she gets mad at me when I don't get any offers. I call the dumb-asses back frequently and it's all just shitty! I'm about ready to just give up. However, my mom needs me to be able to drive, and I can't do that without insurance, and I can't get insurance without a job.
OH WHAT A TANGLED WEB SOCIETY WEAVES!
On top of all that, I have school and registering for college (and whatever comes with it). No wonder they say junior year is the hardest.
Alright, I think I'm done now. Thanks for listening to my problems. |

I miss my little sister, and I'm crushingly, overwhelmingly jealous of RSA, FF and CP.
I am also rather ill. I've got several things wrong with me, and no idea whether they are in any way related to each other or not.
On the bright side, I have access to a computer for the next few hours. |

In my life, there has been one semi-constant outside my family. A friend, since preschool. She kept me in line, she made a better person, knew how to cheer me up, etc. And while we may not have always gotten along, we never drifted far.
Last year, they thought she might have ovarian cancer. Tests said otherwise.
This year, she had the tests again, as planned. The results are drastically different, and she needs to have a biopsy. _________________

Amen to that. I sat in the same room all day taking the English Language Arts portion of the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) test. That is true torture there.
I think this thread could really use a bright spot, so...

People suck.
For those of you with kids, please keep in mind, DO NOT walk into a toy store 4 minutes before it closes and wander around for 20 minutes. DO NOT let your kid run around and trash the store. DO give your kids a set budget to spend and a time limit. Reinforce both, and never give in. This should help AVOID temper tantrums and screaming that piss off employees. And finally, DO TAKE YOUR KID TO A BANK SO THEY DON'T PAY $21 IN COINS! IT FILLS THE REGISTERS AND MAKES CLOSING A PAIN IN ZORT'S ASS!!! |
