Echoes from the past…
…the expected image of a beautiful phoenix arose from his lifeless body, and slowly faded in it's own flames.
A loud cheer shattered the silence and the remaining villagers patted each other heartily on the back.
Then, unexpectedly X fell to the ground, gasping for breath, and writhing. The others watches in stunned silence, fear renewed.
After perhaps 30 seconds, X suddenly lay still.
The others began to move towards him, but reversed their movement the instant they say a misty figure arising from X's motionless body.
The image was that of an old man.
X coughed, rolled over, and raised himself to his knees, transfixed by the sight, as to were the other villagers.
The image spoke "I am the spirit of the wise man that harnessed the dragons and the phoenix. I sense they are no more."
"You will not be troubled by these creatures again, in stead, you will make your own trouble. The creatures maintained harmony, a balance. This force is no more. There may be wars, and famine, as you have never seen before. Such things will be of man's making, unchecked by the immortal creatures."
As the image grew weaker, the last words could be faintly heard "There are dragons and phoenix within the heart of each man. You must strive now to keep your hearts in balance."
And so it came to pass
Within too few years the world was filled with strife…the gods were displeased…they discussed and argued amongst themselves…and it was decided that the dragons and the phoenix must return...must be recreated…to save man from his own destruction….
And so it came to pass…
Harmony was restored…
For a while…
Then the balance was lost, and the horror of long ago resumed.
A wise man came to save the village…
Then one fearful, horrific night a new twisted monolith had appeared in the village…
And all had been peaceful again…
…until a crack appeared…

Last night the villagers cowered in their huts, as fire and lightening raged outside. And there was something else, something terrible. Roars and screams of a terrifying intensity. Some of the villagers even thought that one of the blood-curdilng screams sounded vaguely human.
At dawn the villagers crept out of their huts. First they went to their hut of relics, and discovered that the cloak, that the myth told could protect against the flames of the beasts, had vanished.
A little later, the twisted and charred remains of what might once have been a human were found. A headcount indicated that poor amb had been killed in the night.
The villagers could only reach one conclusion. They must fight the evil as the myths said their forefathers had. Horrified as they were at the thought, they resolved to lynch one person each day, in the hope that the evil will be found and destroyed.
amb (unposessed human) is dead.
Sun will set 95 1/2 hours from this post or earlier if lynch numbers are reached
NB I won't be available to answer any queries for a couple of days.
Talk or risk replacement. Deadlines will be fairly strict, as they were in the last game, so people need to participate quickly.
Good hunting everyone. _________________

I shall use my random votingness to randomly not vote anyone within a voting situation right now.
If Samadhi decides to squeal to whatever, then I shall invoke One's own random vote towards whoever requires it. |

Samadhi.....................why?
Vote: Samadhi
Why?
Because he lives in San Diego. San Diego is a city in California. California is run by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Arnold Schwarzenegger was born in Austria. Austria shares a border with Italy. Italy has an island called Sicily. Sicily is home to the Mafia.

Samadhi was grabbed by a small mob, dragged into a clearing on the outskirts of the village, and beheaded.
The image of a dragon rose from his motionless corpse, and faded away into formless whisps of smoke.
It is night. Choices must be received no later than 6pm (GMT) on Tuesday.

The haunting noises returned to the village overnight.
Not many could sleep. The ones that could, had exhaustion to thank for the small mercy it brought. Though the blessing of being unconscious of the screams, screeches, and roars was lessened by the nightmares...
In the morning a crowd gathered near to LoudmouthLee's hut. Poor LoudmouthLee was barely recognisable. The burns were not a pretty sight, and his face bore a twisted, pained expression.
LoudmouthLee (unposessed human) is dead.

What are everyone's thoughts on Samhadi? She didn't mount a defense, so I'm doubting dragons are good in this game. Though, if I'm wrong I don't want any dragons to blow their cover unnecessarily.
I'll start the day by putting in a vote: jadesmar, random. |

I know, because I was in that last game. Note that Porro hasn't said anything about whether he actually changed the setup for this game. So this still leaves the question: why didn't Samhadi mount a defense? Surely, if he was good, he'd give the town that info before dying, without leaving us guessing. |

Simple. The deadline was unexpected, so when it was imposed, Samadhi was automatically lynched. Why he didn't mount a defence? He wasn't very close to being lynched, that is, before there was a deadline.
Now I have an urge to vote: jadesmar. This time for a reason: he has only posted once in the entire game so far, and that was to provide a third vote on me. _________________ 1000oclock.com |

I don't know. Early sunset non-withstanding, Samadhi knew that the deadline was that day. Especially in a game like this one, where the mod has made it clear that things will move quickly, most people would be more inclined to either get the vote off of them, or give some sort of information to get people to leave them be. It's possible that samadhi was just procrastinating, but with a role such as dragon, one would think he'd be more interested in keeping himself alive

| I saw this before Porro's post this morning. I don't have much to say, except that (1) I see no reason not to lynch jadesmar - he's not responding, though it is the holiday season and I've had precious little time myself, and (2) he has enough for a deadline lynch, so I'd prefer to see if he has anything to say. Even if he does I doubt it will be either convincing enough for people to unvote or that they will see it in time to unvote, but I'd like to hear from him anyway, and (3) Mgm makes a good point, in that the Dragons are probably not good in this game. An important factor in the last game was the uncertainty of whether or not Dragons were good. Of course, rather than switch them in this game he could have made them good again because he knew we'd expect him to reverse them, or meybe he knew we'd think of that, so... |
