Alternate Universe Mafia (game over)

It is night in the town of Place (the story and roles ate up the creativity I would use for the town name). It is peaceful. For now. A chanting rises from a meeting building near the middle of town. Someone else skulks outside the building. The lights are on in another meeting hall, where quiet discussion is going on. This building, too, has a skulker. The doctors, cops, morgue attendants, shop owners, and others work. Boring people sleep. Someone else jumps from corner to corner, hissing. All of a sudden, thunder comes from the peaceful sky above, and a bolt of green lightning hits the building which emenates the chanting. It starts raining. Not normal rain, nor acid rain, but some kind of strange substance, changing those it touches. The skulkers are the first to run: the first to a bike which he starts peddling rapidly, even after he is hit by a large drop of "rain" and emits a horrendous scream, the second on a motor scooter with something cradled in his arms. The stricken meeting hall empties next, people filing into the black car outside which peels out of the parking lot and breaks all the speed limits delivering them home. The next meeting hall gets quiet, and the doors are locked and windows closed. Most of the working people, and sleeping people, run outside to see what is going on, only to run back inward after being stricken. The hisser vanishes into shadows. As the storm abates, with everyone hiding inside, some loud motorcycles roll into town. Tension is as thick as a knife, when people finally leave their houses. The only sight awaiting them is a murdered Mayor. No one knows who did it. Accusations fly. They agree to lynch people until the culprits are found. And they find a note detailing something else: the rain has rent the fabric of reality, allowing alternate universes to be created quite easily.

Special Rules:
Night roles work as detailed in your email. If you have not received an email by 9:30 PM EST on Tuesday, May 20th, email me.
During the day, you may have up to three votes, labeled First, Second, and Third votes. Your first vote applies to all universes which the voted for person is alive in, the second in all universes that the first person isn't alive in but the second is, and the third in universes in which the first and second aren't alive but the third is. If this doesn't cover all universes, you get no vote for the rest. PLEASE only use second and third votes if needed, so the mod doesn't have to go crazy looking around.
Obviously purposeful attempts to confuse or otherwise befuddle the mod may result in instant death, if you do it really well or I'm in a bad mood.
Majority is required to lynch normally, one-quarter of all votes available and one-half of votes cast at deadline. Day ends when majority is reached (unless deadline is applied and used, in which case deadline rules apply in all universes) in a universe that either has or is tied for most living players. The rest of the universes will have day ended with deadline rules.
Roles will not be announced until the player is dead in all universes.
Victory requires winning in all existing universes.

1st vote: All universes in which person X is alive in.

2nd vote: All universes in which the person X isn't alive in, but person Y is.

3rd vote: All universes in which person X & Y aren't alive in, but person Z is.

So basically

1 = x
2 = y
3 = z

Other questions -

How are universes created? Who goes in the new universes? Is each universe an exact duplicate of the one it split from? If the mafia choose one person, is that person killed in all universes? (obviously, at some point, the universes are going to differ, or there wouldn't be the rule about voting) If it ends up 3 town in one universe, and 3 mafia in another... does the game continue? Who wins? (yes, I know this is a simplification.) How will the universes be kept track of? Is there a maximum number of universes? If it gets over 30, will study guides be handed out?

More questions later, I'm sure.

I am in universe one and two: If I am killed in universe one and the town wins (since I am the last mafia member), people will know I am mafia and will lynch me on all universes, right?

As long as Universe 1 has equal or greater living population than 2 or 3, day will end. Werebear will be lynched in 1, and based on deadline rules, no one will be lynched in 2 or 3.

Question to the Mod.: If a player is dead in a specific universe, but alive in another, can said player discuss/argue their point in that universe (the "-player" one)? Wouldn't this be equivalent to the dead talking?

This is also going to limit the number of aunthentic "GO TOWN!" death posts.

I can think of a way another universe could be created. Straight from the inspiration Polotet cited, if one of us is a killer with unstoppable bullets, and we shoot the dude who's wearing the unpierceable vest, two universes would spin out of the one. One where dude died, and one where he didn't.

Such an event would not be necessary: If those two objects (unstoppable (pierce) bullets and inpenetrable armour) were to exist simulataneously, they would be a contradiction outright (if only due to the potential scenario, you described.)

In the middle of the night, everyone feels a slight shudder move through the universe as it, and they, are copied. However, not everyone survives the night. In the morning, Jadesmar is found lying outside the police station, dead from a bullet hole: the forensic investigator will no longer be able to kill someone in one universe to make it obey a consensus. DMTsurel, too, has been killed, he by stab wounds: he was a member of an Ancient and Mystic Brotherhood, with malevolent intentions.

Jadesmar, forensic investigator (good), is dead.
DMTsurel, member of the Ancient and Mystic Brotherhood (bad), is dead.
There are now two universes, duplicates of each other.
It is day one, 15 to lynch.

Well, day seems to be getting off to a slow start, so to everyone not sure about posting I'd just like to say: You don't have to challenge my superior logic, you can just follow it.

My hypothesis about multiple universes is based on the impossibile situation polotet described to me. An unmovable object being hit with unstoppable force. This seems alot to me like a super doctor protecting somone who was ultra killed. The only problem i see is that i thought when the paralel universes formed, it would be so both possibilities could occur.
