Hm, three pages into the game (well, 1.5 pages, not including IS nonsense ) and I didn't know it was on. Jeep now has 7 votes... 15 to lynch, so vote 8 won't be too bad for him.
Vote: Jeep
...only because I want to hear what he has to say.

It's the first round. You're not a newbie player so I'm sure by now you've picked up how the first round works. We vote for someone, anyone, for no reason (except in the rare circumstance where some cop is stupid enough to come out on the first round). The person voted for supplies a defense usually including what role they are. The mob decides whether or not to lynch them or to go to another.
The fact that you should know this but are acting like you don't means
A: You're a dumbass or
B: You're posturing and attempting to look good with the defense of someone you know is innocent (because they aren't part of your evil team)
Either one of those combined with

| Listen, Degenerate, there is almost always some kind of logic to be used on day one. I offered some, instead you all bandwagon for zero reason. I believe we always should lynch on the first day, but not always (or even usually) a random person. |

Well, I'll field this one for Degenerate
So what guidelines do you propose for a first round lynch? Do you want to wait until one person says, "Hey! He sneezed/defended in the wrong way/whatever! Lynch him!" Maximize posts now, analyze later. Getting a random person on a bandwagon, then giving them a chance to defend themselves is the best way for the first day to progress. If someone jumps, as you have, focus on them. Otherwise random first round is the only way.
Or do you have Antrax's little Book of Mafia? Who do you want to vote for? Do you have any suggestions? Any HELP? Or are you just content to sit back and criticize? Typical mafiascum maneuver. Be critical of decisions so you can look like a concerned citizen but don't actually stand for anything.
Well guess what. Your non-productive silly input has gotten you chosen as the first round non-random alternative in my book.

(Sorry Degenerate and Damelon, mixed up the names)
Did you miss it, then, Degenerate, when I voted for Zephyr with a reason? Here, I'll quote myself: "Vote: Zephyr, for piling another vote on jeep without reason. (Quercitron's was randomish, I suspect, mikegoo's was an OMGUS, IS is just being IS, but there's no reason for Zephyr's.)" (Reply 75) Now, I'm not saying random votes are awful and bad. But often only a couple random votes are needed before someone does something actually suspicious. And then it is always better to lynch one of those people than to randomly lynch someone. I'm not voting you, because I think you're innocent and just... misguided. |

Who knows why he is keeping quiet? He's no use to us anyway if he won't talk, unless he happens to be a "doctor". Anyway, a ninth (Is it ninth? I lost count) vote should knock the quietness out of him. If he gives a good defense, I'll unvote.

Ah! My apologies, jeep. I had not given a thorough look through the posts, as I had just gotten home from a trip to Spokane, and I had scant time before I had to go to work. The one post changed my mind about you (and also proved you have no argument, since you didn't say anything to contradict me). Unvote: Zephyr, Vote: Damelon. Finally got my internet access back up and running. Yay.
To the topic at hand:
"Vote: Zephyr, for piling another vote on jeep without reason."
Let me point you towards reply posts 81-84. Each had either no, or very basic, reasoning for voting Jeep.. just like Zephyr's vote. And that's to be expected, because it's day one. Hell, anything done on Day 1 is more or less random, and more than likely, we'll be lynching a townie, not a mafia.
In fact, it's more or less a proven fact that the town catching a mafia on day one happens once in a blue moon. To further use this to their advantage, i believe mafia would want to be more or less quiet during the first few days, and then become vocal later on. I know, I know. You're saying to yourself: "Well duh, GC, this is basic mafia knowledge!" Well, then. Let's apply it to this situation, shall we? Which leads me to Vote: Plexer, a random vote amongst those who aren't talking. |

finally had the chance of reading all posts
After looking back, I see that ralphmerridew and Suspence13 have both defended the sport of football. Although I am currently playing a Football Mafia game, I really don't like to play it. Maybe it has something to do with my lack of build. shrugs
Anyhoo, since these two seem to like football and I don't...

Isn't it ironic? A non-football fan uses a coin toss to determine my fate.
Anyone remember the infamous "Coin-Toss" Thanksgiving game between the Steelers and the Lions?
One of my favorite games ever was on Thanksgiving, Dophins vs. Cowboys in the snow. The Cowboys blocked a field goal attempt. If they let the Dolphins down it, it would be Cowboy ball with 10 seconds left...game over. Instead, Leon Lett chased after the ball and tried to pick it up and return it, only to muff it. The Dolphins recovered on the one and sucessfully kicked the game-winning field goal! A classic, especially for a Dolphins fan.

unvote: Goo ; vote: IS
for trying to get me lynched in my absense. I think he was trying to lead a bandwagon against an experienced player that couldn't defend himself. FOS: Zephyr, Damelon, Lucresia, Chuck, Werebear, referee, Qball
It's extremely poor form to vote for someone when they cannot defend themselves! I'm back, I'll read up on the thread again, I'm just VERY surprised that a bandwagon formed when I announced my absence AND it was pointed out by others...

OK, timeout please.
Jeep, I think it was clearly stated that we would wait for your defense, we just tried the game to go on... After all, football is two teams, a ball and a clock
Now onto comments:
Coin toss game: Well, I don't think the coin toss trickery was what decided that game. A more infamous game would be the Heidi Game.
Thanksgiving dolphins game: Nice ending, indeed! But many people will have different preferred games, I guess. Namely one in which their teams ended up winning. I'm sorry for you all Browns fans but The Drive is really a nice ending. And if you root for the Bills, well... you can always have the no-punts game.
Oh, and the Eagles got robed of their right to play SB XXXVI in their playoff game vs St Louis Lambs. |

Damelon: I said in reply 95 I thought you were innocent but misguided (I have since changed my mind). You said in reply 96 that I was suffering from projection. Namely, that it was I who was innocent and misguided.
Green Crayons: You're right, those people, too, have no reason. However, they hadn't yet voted when I voted Zephyr. I'm now suspicious of them too. In fact, I'm suspicious of everyone who voted for jeep except maybe the people before Zephyr. You can't be anywhere near sure of a first day lynch, but that does not mean you should make it 100% random as they are trying to do. |
