I've just read the opening post (better late than never), and I have a question.

Shouldn't the Ravens be the mafia? They seem to be the nasty buggers?

The Steelers got a bum rap dood.

I know little about the game of American Rugby. But when I was little I adopted The Steelers as my team (even though I don't follow it, I've very occasionally had a passing interest. I even nearly watched a superbowl once No that's a fib, I watched a whole one I think, but it's on really late in the UK so I haven't bothered since. Anyway I'm rambling now so...) even though I can't remember why now. Were they good 20 years ago, or was the uniform a cool colour? Anyone know?

They were really good about 25 years ago and their uniforms are fugly. Black and yellow...ugh. Anyways, they had Terry Bradshaw (now an announcer and a TV commercial freak), Franco Harris (of Immaculate Reception fame), HOF WR Lynn Swann, and the Steel Curtain defense with Jack Lambert and "Mean" Joe Green. That was before I was born though. Hope that helps.

I'm even more confused now. Was all of that english?
I do vaguely recolect liking the black shirts with yellow trim though

Perhaps the name Steelers helped to, it sounds kind of, erm, steely

I'm new to mafia, so I don't quite know what Courk is doing wrong, but nothing seems to be happening just yet. I wonder why everyone raves about mafia so much.

After a wonderful night of sleep, the townspeople of Football land awoke to start what they assumed would be a wonderful day. How wrong they were. When a business man took a shortcut across - what else - an alley, he stumbled upon a bloody corpse. After police and homicide units arrived, they determined it was the body of Jerome Bettis, the famous runningback of the Steelers. This death brought double concern upon the residents of Football land. Not only did they have evil mafia Steelers amiing their ranks, they also had another murderer in their presence.

Mole died - Jerome Bettis - Steelers - mafia

Sooth, ordinarily there's nothing wrong with making fun of the sport, but this game has an American setting. Anybody attacking the US, even if done indirectly by attacking a popular sport, is evil and unamerican. (I would expect anybody who makes or made cracks about England or anything English during Aga's Cricket Mafia, Mafia VLIII, or the upcoming Buckingham Mafia to get a similar reception from the other players.)

So as a patriotic American I will maintain my vote against CF.

The worst thing about the Broncos allowing all of those completions was the fact that they only rushed 3 guys....8 in coverage...boggling.

With 15 votes needed for a lynching, we have:
2 Mikegoo
4 Jeep
1 Porro
1 CF
1 ralphmerridew
1 IS
1 jadesmar

And I'm not going to ask for confirmations until the total number of players is 10 or less. Therefore, once Bob gets a majority, he dies. I won't pay attention to others unvoting after the majority mark, etc.
