Cradle of Filth's Nymphetamine.

Apparently I'm a metalhead. I didn't even know! But I've discovered it, and I'm now out of the closet. Does anyone have any recommendations for good bands?

Cosmos, a Swiss Pink Floyd clone. Derivative as hell, but great fun to listen to.

The dub side of the moon.

A reggae version of the Pink Floyd classic. At the same time hilarious and impressive musically.

I went to a see a band two weeks ago that a guy I worked with plays in. I tried to figure who they sounded like. After I got home, I realized "They sound like King Crimson!" I agree with Sean.

I watched R.E.M., and I was in the front row. Awesome gig. One minor complaint: No Everybody Hurts. I even shook hands with Michael Stipe. My first big gig to attend.

The downside: It'll only go downhill from here.

That's right. Darkness is not a pop song by any means, but now I love it. I love most of the tracks invidually, I just can't see them as a cohesive experience yet.

The best work however, that's 3...

Maybe I've mentioned it before, but Al Stewart's "Past, Present and Future" album. In my opinion, his best work, and predates his more popular work (Time Passages, Year of the Cat). Engaging lyrics evoking vivid imagery, heavily loaded with historical references, and very rich, thick acoustical arrangements. Favorite tracks: "Roads to Moscow" (8 minutes), "Soho (Needless to Say)", "Terminal Eyes", "Post World War Two Blues" ... but they're all good.

You've gone mellow on us, extro! From Mahogany Rush to this!

Btw, hopefully you cked out Great White Buffalo and Hibernation...but if not..
..If you don't prefer all the spacey guitar feedback intro of Hiberation (it's long, I know), tacky talk of blowing balls off charging rhinos, and over-the-top macho bragging about his guitar refusing to play sweet farmerly word for manure, then at least advance to the part where the song kicks in, has an almost country feel but a magnificent jam fest it is. I highly recommend it, is a great song to play air guitar on, too.

On a side note, Terrible Ted has a big farm here in Southern Michigan, has a square mile fenced in as a private game preserve - which is a misnomer of course with ole "wack 'em and stack 'em" himself as owner...

...But apparently some people, self declared "animal rights" activists who don't like him due to outspoken philosophies regarding some unusual and a bit unorthodox ideals about malicious destruction of animals that he categorizesas "sport" "hunting" - they have cut some of the fencing that surrounds the place, and let loose some of the critters contained therein.

In this case though, in this section of the giant pen, they were some nasty hybrid type of wild boars.

This was several years ago and now, just saw it not too long ago in the gnus news, they have not only survived now several harsh winters of lower Michigan but they are breeding. Piglets have been found. So now there is a bounty, wildlife officials are encouraging their eradication by hunters and farmers alike, all seasons of the year and whenever seen.

Anyways, after you're done with the Gerry Rafferty and the Pablo Cruise - ..
..Motor City Madman!.. the later 70's "Live Gonzo" - recorded in San Antonio, Texas - and songs Great White Buffalo and Hibernation

Queen Live at Wembley

One of Mrs. Q's employees loaned it to her. This woman is about 70 and is more of a Barbara Streisand fan but recently discovered the joys of Queen.

BTW, Wembley is apparently some sort of stadium somewhere.

He is one of my top 5 artists of all time, but I always considered this album one of his weaker ones. Having had it on repeat for the last few hours, I am changing my mind. Excellent stuff.
