| i knew it was viceversa. 18** would be worth more (yeah b/c inflation and virtual benefit from deposit rates). I don't think i can answer this. |

| Check your source's reliability. This is an old joke, and the answer really is quite simply that "1997 dollars are only $3 short of an even $2000, whereas 1980 dollars are $20 short." The last time I heard it it was with pennies, mind you. |
