Draw a loop of horizontal and vertical lines through the centers of some of the squares on this chessboard such that the chessmen which are part of the loop act as pearls in Masyu (white chessmen as white pearls, and black chessmen as black pearls), and such that the chessmen which are not part of the loop form a valid chess position.

| Should we assume the white player is at the bottom and the black player is at the top, or is that an additional parameter to the problem? |

As the file numbers and rank letters outside the board indicate, White is at the bottom, and Black is at the top.
Installment two:

The loop for the first one:
b1-b5-d5-d6-b6-b8-c8-c7-d7-d8-g8-g7-f7-f6-h6-h5-e5-e4-c4-c2-e2-e1-b1 |

For the second one the loop is
A3-A6-C6-C8-E8-E6-G6-G7-H7-H3-G3-G1-F1-F3-C3-C5-B5-B3-A3 |

Both solutions match mine.
Maybe I'll make a batch of these and post them on BoardGameGeek. In the meanwhile, here's a third.

That matches my solution, Trojan Horse.

Sigh. I didn't want to hog these. But if no one else wants to grab this one, I'll do it:
