The command center, of course. That should be the safest place left on this ship.

Cancel my future action.
Action: Grab the dropped rifle and protect Tank. If a 'zombie' gets too close, shoot them in the leg. Also, into the towel, "Dee: Need urgent assistance in the command centre, Man down"
I don't like guns but I'm happy to use one in the defence of a buddy...and I'm reluctant to kill 'our' people.
I wonder where the helmets are...too many head injuries around here.
(passive continuous action: If I see a suitable hard hat, acquire it for my own use.)

Turn 19 Resolution:
MNO: 5-1=4
For the second time in one day, Jack’s ears are ringing. I really don’t appreciate this. If I didn’t know any better, I would say Dee was actually the other half of the Tweedle brothers. As long as there’s nothing pressing to do at the moment, Jack decides to take a moment to collect his senses. After a few moments, he feels much better and ready for action again.
Elethiomel: 5-1=4
Dee was barely able to make out the towel message because of the ringing in his ears, but he heard enough to know his friends are in trouble. Collecting himself, Dee takes off running back to the Lieutenant. We’ve got to get some reinforcements up there while leaving someone here to guard the breach. Hopefully the Lieutenant will listen to reason in the absence of his precious Command. Soon, Dee arrives back at the hold position, albeit being slightly out of breath, at about the same time that Zip takes off in the opposite direction.
novice: 3
“Hey, I’ll go! I’ll go see what’s going on at Command,” offers Zip.
Almost before the words are completely out of Zip’s mouth, the Lieutenant answers, “Great idea. Be quick. Something bad may have happened up there.”
The response seemed to come a little too quickly, but Zip shrugs it off. He’s just happy to have something to do for once. He slings his bag over his shoulder and heads out just as a panting Dee comes jogging up to the group. Unfortunately, Zip didn’t bother to check exactly which corridors he needs to take, so he gets in the general area of Command before he has to stop and find a terminal.
Monk: 5
“You know, I don’t know why I was so concerned about going for those big weapons in the store room. I used to be the Rubber Band Shooting Champ back in the day. If we could get a packet of those, I would be all set to fight the Princua,” boasts Reggie to the captain.
The captain snorts. “I’ve never heard of a lethal rubber band.”
“Well, I can tell you a rubber band to the eye would incapacitate the best Princua warrior for a few minutes. Seems like that would be enough time for an advantage.” At that moment, they pass an open office. Reggie ducks in for a moment, digs around in the desk drawers, and comes up with a bag of rubber bands. “These ought to do.” They continue on their way, when they come upon Suzy and Tank lying on the ground in somewhat painful positions.
Reggie has a bag of 50 rubber bands.
3iff: 1
Sentran: (1)
“Tank, you have to get up. You know I’m not one for guns. Tank?”
The mind-controlled continue approaching Tank and Suzy, and in that moment Suzy makes a decision, her hatred of guns be damned. She goes to pick up the rifle, but it seems her unconscious mind still exerts significant influence. Her feet stop moving toward the gun, and she falls forward to hit her own head against the wall. The fall isn’t enough to hurt her significantly, except she strikes the part of her head which was recently wounded. Pain radiates through her body, and she lets out a gasp as she slides the rest of the way to the floor.
With both Tank and Suzy incapacitated, things look drear.
Suzy has hit her injured head. She will receive a -1 to all actions next turn. _________________ Paragon Tally: 19 mafia, 3 SKs (1 twice), 1 cultist, numerous chat scum...and counting. |

Turn 20 Resolution:
MNO:2
After seeing Dee run off so quickly, Jack begins to wonder what was so important. “Who’s in charge around here?” he asks impatiently.
“That would be me, sir,” answers Charlie.
“You hold this position until your dying breath, do you understand me? If you don’t, I swear I will find you and use you as a human shield when I drag you back down here to re-take it.” Jack then chases after Dee to see where he’s going. He gets back to the hold position just as Dee is disappearing off into the distance. He continues to follow, but he realizes he’s still a little dazed from the explosion and can’t keep up. He stops to rest.
Elethiomel: 5
When Dee sees Zip running away from the breach and toward Command, he practically forgets about warning the Lieutenant. “Lieutenant,” he shouts as he runs by, “Command is down, but the breach is clear. You need to hold it while we go help Command.” Of course, there’s no way to be sure the Lieutenant would do anything of the sort, but at least did what he needed to do.
He keeps following Zip, always a few corridors behind. Eventually, he gains ground on him when Zip stops to use a terminal. Still, Zip is off again before Dee catches him. Finally, they both arrive at Command and realize just how much trouble the ship is in. Dee decides to check with his towel and see how to fix the situation. The towel informs him they need to end the transmission to the Command terminals.
novice: 5
Thankfully there is a terminal just around the next corner. Zip stops to check for directions to the Command Center. He realizes he wasn’t that far off, and is glad it isn’t much further. Before he logs off the terminal, he has to check his Fadebook because he is such a junky. His most recent post of him posing in his new armor has five likes and ten comments.
“Stay safe out there, my little Zipper.” –Mom
“Dude, you look like such a dork.” –Billy
“Zipper? LOL!” –Harry
“If you aren’t too zippy, I wouldn’t mind taking off that armor for you.” –Sarah
Rolling his eyes, Zip logs off and continues on to Command. As he arrives, he sees a crew member about to overtake a dazed Tank. He fires off a shotgun round at the man’s leg, and protects Tank for a while longer.
Monk: 2
Reggie runs over to check on the prostrate forms of Tank and Suzy, but at that moment one of the crew is coming with menace toward the defenseless Tank. Reggie quickly readies a rubber band, aims, and fires. With amazing precision, the band flies in all of its glorious rubberiness…and bounces useless off the crew member’s chest.
“Damn.”
3iff: 3-1=2
Despite the pain, Suzy realizes that what just happened might be to her benefit. If she’s still, maybe she won’t attract the attention of the crew members. However, the pain in her head is white hot, and she convulses a bit at the feeling. This attracts the attention of a mind-controlled officer who was previously more intent upon Tank. Before it can really move toward her though, its knee gets blown off. Lucky break, I guess.
Sentran: 3
Tank comes to wondering what happened. He realizes his head might be hurt, so he unwraps the sheet from his waist to dab at his head. He wasn’t hurt, but the sheet wraps around his head like a turban anyway. In the meantime, the officer standing over him about to throttle him seems a bit more pressing. Suddenly, his knee is destroyed in a barrage of shotgun pellets, and it falls backward away from him. _________________ Paragon Tally: 19 mafia, 3 SKs (1 twice), 1 cultist, numerous chat scum...and counting. |

Turn 21 Resolution:
MNO: 5
Jack loses sight of Dee while he rests, so he quickly orders the qComp to track Dee’s location for him. After recovering his breath, Jack sets off again. Finally, he arrives at Command. He sees that his bunkmates are beset by crew members who aren’t in their right mind. He runs between the two groups, whips out a knife, and sets himself up as a barrier. “Get your shit together guys and figure out how to stop them! Even I can only hold them off for so long.”
Elethiomel: 1
Taking the towel’s advice, Dee retrieves his holokey so he can reboot the terminals. Just at that moment, Jack leaps forward to distract the mindless crew members. I know what I’ve got to do. I’m going to be a hero. Dee rushes to the injured crew member and shoves the holokey in his ear. “Why isn’t it working?” he asks. Dee tries the other ear. Still nothing. His bunkmates look on incredulously before Dee realizes that this isn’t where the holokey is supposed to go. He removes it from the ear and shoves it in the crew member’s mouth. That’s when it bites.
Dee’s hand has been bitten. He will receive a -1 to rolls requiring manual dexterity until one turn after it is wapped.
novice: 3
3iff: 3
Zip moves forward with his gun pointed at any on-coming crew members. Thankfully, Jack rushes in at that moment to draw their attention away. Suzy is trying to get up from the ground, and Zip tries to help her by putting his hand deftly around her curvaceous waist. She comes to her feet a bit wobbly, and she leans against the wall in case her stomach decides to spill its contents.
Zip has 5 shotgun rounds and two grenades remaining.
Monk: 3
“Haven’t you got something else?” asks the captain.
“Not really. That’s why we stopped at the store room. I mean I have my…MY WHISTLE!” shouts Reggie. He rummages in his pockets for the whistle, finds it, and brings it to his lips. He quickly blows a loud, shrill shriek. The whistle works kind of like magic. The nearest crew members to Jack stop in their tracks, but they don’t appear to come to themselves.
“At least it’s something,” mutters the captain. “I really don’t want Jack carving up the only crew I have.”
Sentran: 2
Recognizing that he just dodged a bullet—almost literally since Zip isn’t the best shot—Tank rolls himself away from the action. He tries to turn the backward somersault into a stand, but he loses his balance and falls back on his ass. At least Jack is distracting those zombies for now. _________________ Paragon Tally: 19 mafia, 3 SKs (1 twice), 1 cultist, numerous chat scum...and counting.
