So with as many people as there are playing right now by the time the games ahead of me are over I will have had time to finish preparations for mafia. So go ahead and sign-up in advance. I am aiming for at least 16 people (I think we can do it.) The game will be heavily themed as always and I will try to provide entertaining death scenes. No vanilla roles most will be one-shots or two shots. A nice variety of castaways

Aw crap, are you kidding me? I don't normally play in games anymore unless I know the mod pretty well, and I tend to avoid "no vanilla role" mafia altogether - but Survivor? I turned into a Survivor fan maybe 12-18 months ago and I've watched something like 16 of 22 seasons since. (My sole income was online poker for a while, I liked to have something to watch while I played DON'T JUDGE ME!)

Besides which, I can't turn down even the remotest chance of getting to roleplay Coach Benjamin Wade, Dragon Slayer and Martial Arts Master.

anyhow I havent gotten which survivors i am using yet but the game wont start for several months. Anyway your survivor story i much like mine. I watched maybe two episodes total til HvV then saw most of that season and was hooked have marathoned the remaining and new seasons since then still need to finish samoa but what a rides its been

Go Upolu. I think this looks like one of the best seasons yet cast wise.

I'll need to wait for the show to air in Aus (or at least on youtube) but will definitely chatter about it once I get to watch! =)

Definitely on team Coach, though. (Obviously.) Ozzy has been obnoxious and self-righteous forever (second only to Rupert, perhaps) and I don't know why they think he'll make for better TV this time. Based solely on the promos, I hope the weedy nerdy looking guy does well (what Survivor geek doesn't want to see another Survivor geek excel), and I also like the anaesthesiologist.

LOL at "the great Mackay", by the way. I am the Coach of mafia - it's all posturing and bluster, and the occasions where I look brilliant are generally by accident.

On another note, if the roles are based on players, I'd like to see a role based on Russell Hantz. Not the best player (or in my top 40), but it would be funny if there was a role based on him. Hilarity rises if the role isn't akin to the jester. *shrug* But that's just me.

@Mackay: The weedy nerd is Cochran, and he is awesome. I usually don't support the nerd-types, but he's likable, somehow.

It's a reasonable question. It's on the list behind Bizzaro Mafia and A Game of Thrones Mafia. Secret Theme Mafia (the current game) started in late August, and it could easily stretch into December. So, assuming 3.5 months per game (from my sample of one), then it won't start until some time next summer.
