I had sort of assumed that nobody would want to work through a maze and post the answer. Shall I just post the next puzzle?

I did the maze (which was actually a bit harder than I expected) but I also thought that the path was going to make up a picture or something...

Good thought, I may have to make my own next year to incorporate that.

I think I'll just post the joke prior to the encoded riddle.

Green Path 3 Joke:

What does a pirate pay for piercings?

Took me longer than it should have done, but (like others) I don't like to put "placeholders" in - at least, not for straight-forward puzzles like this, and I'm not quite good enough to be able to hold an entire grid in my head like some expert solvers clearly can.

Maybe a carrrrrgo ship, though I would expect them to like this type of ship, for pillaging purposes.

Not seeing any new responses, here's the answer.
A pirate's least favorite ships are relationships.

I'll post the next puzzle as soon as I have it available.

Oh, that's where you were headed. I like all of these, better:

Pirates hate ...

Penmanship: because it's hard to write with that hook, you know.
Workmanship: because slaving for an "honest" wage is a sucker's game.
Ownership: at least, when you talk about somebody else doing the owning.
Worship: because it isn't warship, which would be a LOT more fun.
Showmanship: because who wants a whole ship filled with those noisy carnival guys, anyway?

Reminds me of one of my favorite pirate jokes...

A notorious pirate captain, well known for his battle prowess, took on a new cabin boy. One day, his ship topped a swell and they saw a Spanish galleon, laden with treasure and loaded for battle. The captain, without hesitation, told his cabin boy "Fetch me my red shirt." The battle was a tough one, but the pirate captain again emerged victorious. Late that night, as the cabin boy was tending the the captain's wounds, he asked about the red shirt. The captain replied "The red shirt is to hide the blood of my wounds. If my crew see me bleed, and slow in battle, they will lose hope and not fight as hard." The cabin boy accepted this without another question. A few weeks later, as the ship again topped a swell that allowed them to see for a long way, the lookout observed 3 Spanish warships bearing directly towards them. As this was relayed to the Captain, he told his cabin boy "Fetch me my brown pants."

Not true, it was solved at the event without the use of a computer.
It was noted that the font I used changed punctuation into the letter A.
Also, you have a few errors in your translation, but the answer was correct.

Yellow Path 2, Puzzle 1:

A pirate hung up his hat and put on a blindfold. He then walked 100 yards turned around and shot a bullet through his hat. The blindfold was a perfectly good one completely blocking the man’s vision. How did he manage this?

Aaargh, matey. A chestnut, to be sure, but I'll give ye a new answer:

The pirate knowed that walking all the way 'round his pirate ship, holding the railing wit' his one good hand, was 'xactly 100 paces. So when he was done walkin', he was back to standin' right in front of his hat.

Also, he had hung his hat on the end of his blunderbuss, so he was carrying the thing with him the whole way.

The expected answer is the pirate hung his hat from his pistol. Zag's answer works too.

Yellow Path 2, Puzzle 2:

Masyu (count the o as white pearls and the * as black pearls)
