Rules
1. Normal mafia rules apply
2. Some special game mechanics may apply due to the nature of the freaks you all are Wink
3. All role names come from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_characters_in_Heroes
4. Due to the creative nature of each PM, you may not speculate about the wording of your role PM's in thread. To do so may result in instant Modkill. (You may however claim your character name and/or abilities to your hearts content, or lie)

Roles were completely randomly assigned.

The game has started on day. There is a weird feeling in this small quiet American town full of weirdos and freaks. They are all watching a show on TV called Heroes. And its a show where any character could die at any time. The characters are all looking back and forth at each other suspiciously. Who will use their powers for evil, and who will be squeaky clean honest citizens. So they all do the best for the world, by agreeing to kill each other until only good remain.

It is 7 to lynch.

No roles (unless given permission to communicate during the day) may talk to each other UNTIL night falls.

Chaz is due to return in 4 days. Hopefully he can catch up then.

DAY 1

I assumed this when I ran my game, and then had to mod-kill someone for editing a post. Here's a copy of "normal mafia rules."

I think that is just because Cloudrunner removed himself from the player count for the diceroll vote, meaning that MNO is number 7, but for Cloudrunner he's number 6. Surely no-one would be stupid enough to include themselves in a diceroll vote and subsequently vote themselves.

1 more wanted, or PMs out Monday

Amb got his 1 more. Game started shortly after I signed up. Also It's 6:30pm Monday where Amb is modding from. Guess it depends where everyone is in the world. How long do we want to wait for lurkers? (Who may not have realised the game is on)

Also, in a rarebrainwave, it could be possible that one of the lurkers has the role of 'The Haitian' who spent a great deal of time in season 1 being/pretending to be mute.

Also, in another rare brainwave, I went back and looked up the signup thread and Chaz stated that he could only start playing after the 20th of April which is this Wednesday... so he's not actually lurking.

first of all, who uses a dice roll to determine an outcome between two scenarios?

secondly, why are you saying "the die has spoken" and not using the dice tag so every one can see your result? seems too convenient to justify your random choice to join a bandwagon.

finally, it would seem like according to Amb's post, Jedo read his role but did not send his confirmation for some reason. maybe i'm reading too much into this one, but that sounds like someone needing time to "research" their role or wanting to lurk.

I haven't played mafia here in some time, but this strange behavior sounds like the Jedo play-style i remember, so I will not change my vote at this time.

Major FOS: Jedo the Jedi

You know, Sentran, I think it really chaps your hide I almost beat you last game. You've been itching to vote me ever since, haven't you? Wink

cR, I've forgotten how to use the tags since last I was here, and those things aren't certain. I could just as easily not follow those. (At least that's the way it is over on MS.) I don't know to which of Amb's posts you are referring.

Is this bandwagon still not moving?

Well, you're only partially right. You annoyed me a few games back, and I've been itching to vote you in every game since. I don't consider it a "policy" lynch if I vote for someone else first though. Almost Fonz Cool

Well, there is enough of us here talking now to make something happen,
I say we either push the MNOWAX vote to limit to get him to talk, and that's just because the votes are already piling up on him, the two starting votes both being random number choices and it followed on from there. Alternatively, we could switch to Jedo, who was silent, despite having read his role pm according to Amb, and has only spoken up now, quickly jumped on the biggest bandwagon (They weren't equal) And so far his biggest post is unrelated to this game, but rather to some argument with sentran.

I don't see any other reason to continue the votes on other players. Lets make something happen. Your thoughts?

I HATE to defend Jedo in any way LOL but I think you should factor in the weekend in your analysis of who spoke when in relation to the post concerning who has opened their PM's. In the 4 games I have been in now (3 plus this one) the weekends are the badlands here. People often don’t say anything all weekend due to plans.

As for MNO is that really nothing more than a random bandwagon? He said last game he will always claim when he gets to L1 unless it is day 1… so we may just have to lynch him for that warm fuzzy feeling it gives us.
Razz

I am still holding out hope that something less random than the current bandwagons before switching my initial vote.

They were too equal. Check the vote count then the vote on Zag almost immediately after. That's 3-3. Also, since you don't know, I don't usually post on weekends. I will make exceptions occasionally, but those should be considered blessings. If I think a game will start over the weekend, I will try to check for the PM and confirm with the mod via the phone so they aren't concerned about my status and everyone else can begin. That's what we have here.

Because you're newly returned to our group here, I'll cut you some slack, but if you go muckraking again like this, I will gladly move my vote to you.
