I've seen these style puzzles online a few times, they involve shortening a phrase to the initial letters and numbers. It's easier to just see an example.
12 E in a D
becomes
12 eggs in a dozen
So I figured we'd have a thread of these running, I'll post five and if you solve one you invisi-post your answer and provide a new one.
A1: 8 P in the S S
B1: 24 L in the G A
C1: 302 E in the 2008 S O G
D1: 61 C in a G o J
E1: 26 S S in Z L A |

I can do C2: 10 Actors have been The Doctor in Doctor Who. (If you don't count the odd ones like Richard E.Grant etc of course )
[p.s. I'm still on something of a high after the last episode: a genuine WTF story. Only 48 hours to the season finalé - I can barely wait...]

I don't know about any of those (except mine, obviously). Should we provide hints at some point?
Just a note on B2 (not even a hint): it's elementary, something you probably learned about before you became a teenager. |

Nope. (Obviously it's hard to say something like this is "wrong", but what I was thinking of is not such a tortured sentence.)
lexprod, 'High School' is not correct. (A clue, think games.) |

Doh. I should've gotten B6 a heartbeat.
B6: 7 Books in the Chronicles of Narnia.
Lemme try another one with a 15. Hopefully this one will take a bit longer.
B7: 15 R in the F S U
Also, D1 isn't 61 calories in a glass of juice, is it? Nah, lexprod's hint says otherwise. (Plus, it would have to be a pretty small glass...) |
