The opening post was phrased from my perspective talking to you. When answered from your perspective, first person becomes second person, and vice-versa. The shift in pronouns and phrasing causes the answers to the riddles to become titles.

More easily explained by example:

"You explain what the colors mean on a map. Who are you?" would be answered with "I am Legend."

"Who are you guys, that defeat my general (in Stratego)?" = "We are Marshal(l)"

With no distinct pluarality marker in the standard English second person, I went with the midwest "You guys" rather than the southern (and more distinctive in print) "Y'all".

"Who am I, that is full of toothpaste?" = "YouTube"

A stretch as it lacks a verb - I couldn't come up with a decent "You are" type of clue. "You've been Served"? "me Tarzan you Jane"?

"Who are we, that are 71% covered in water?" = "We are the world"

Stratego was the first thing I thought of when reading that (and it was apparently what was intended). I would think that one would be extremely difficult for someone not familiar with Stratego, though.

YouTube threw me because of the lack of verb. Still no ideas on the one that's left...

(Good idea for a puzzle btw, and I agree this would make a good format for a treasure-hunt-style puzzle.)

I accidentally solved Youtube - I was just linking to a We Are the World video. I thought maybe the last question was "Who are you?" with the obvious answer being The Who!

I caught the Stratego reference and started trying to match the other clues to other Stratego pieces and then to board games in general. I would probably have abandoned this line of thought in a few years.
