Been a couple of days, seems like it's time for a hint.

Figuring out the animal in question would be of great help

Ok. Confirming: It's bigger than a mouse, and it could be considered to be vermin. Right?

Is it a mammal? An arthropod? A reptile? An amphibian?

So...the crib legs are going to be put in shot glasses which will then be in alcohol saucers to stop scorpions from attacking the baby while it sleeps?

Interesting...

This site says to just use wide-mouth jars, like a mason jar, to keep the scorpions from climbing the legs. I wouldn't want to smell alcohol all the time in my kid's room. And how do the shot glasses keep the scorpions from climbing the wall and dropping into the crib from above?

Great, now I won't ever be able to sleep at night again. Too scared of ninja ceiling scorpions. Can they climb walls?
