| Hmm. The W.R. is almost certainly "World Record" but a search of the Guinness World Records site for 25944 didn't turn up anything. |

This thread is past due for a recap board.
A13: 154 S S
B13: The U is 13 690 M-Y O, according to the 5-Y W D.
May be mostly solved as "The Universe is 13690 Million Years Old, according to the ???"
C08: 13 P at the LS
D13: 253 C S for B F (and C ?)
E10: 25,944 C S is the W R for L C T R
Also may be solved as "25944 Consecutive Strokes is the World Record for Longest Continuous Tennis Rally" |

E10 is correct. Zag should own E11.
D13 can now be updated - D13: 255 C S for B F (and C) - and barring any unforeseen circumstances, it should become 256 at around 8:30 Monday night. _________________ I hate people who try to write interesting things in their signature. |

I can confirm that D13 should now be 256 C S for B F (and C), and will in all likelihood change to 257 this upcoming Sunday around 1pm. _________________ I hate people who try to write interesting things in their signature. |

Hi,
I've been 'away' for a bit, and just glancing through the recent games to catch up...
I see this topic is called "N X in a Y"
I've always known this type of puzzle as a DITLOID, from the now self-referential puzzle "1 DITLOID"
Cheers

I think it is 263 Consecutive Starts For Brett Favre (and Counting)... but this doesn't quite seem to add up since this link says
he had 253 regular season and 275 including playoffs with the packers, and the Jets have not played 10 games this year... Link |

The Brett Farve answer is correct. 263 was never listed, it must have been mistyped by lexprod in the recap post.
It started out at 253, and I updated weekly as the record changed. _________________ I hate people who try to write interesting things in their signature. |

You mean, why DITLOID specifically, and not some name that actually references what it is?
I think the only answer is "Why not?" DITLOID is both pronounceable as an acronym and memorable. |

I believe that the Daily Express puzzles were sorted increasing by number, and 1 DITLOID was the first puzzle listed. Not positive.
