Doubt it has to do with the Unicode codes. These words were picked because they were short and fit into the grid (which is why we skipped over symbols like HORIZONTAL MALE WITH STROKE SIGN). But don't know what else to go on...

Yup. And unfortunately, SORRY BUDDY THIS PUZZLE HAS YET A SUBTLETY is 38 characters, so it doesn't yield a perfect square.

Woulda been cool if what looked like a dead end gave another square and one last symbol that would have been the answer. File that away in my puzzle ideas.

Intersections generally don't work. But if you look at intersections where two teams from the same sport intersect you get SMAL WHITE DOG. I don't see where another L will come from, nor does "SMALL WHITE DOG" sound like an answer.

Are there two songs or one after 7:14? There are 41 times listed, so I was hoping for 41 songs.


I don't even think that there's separate songs at 3:34 and 3:42. Sounds like a swell into the chorus of Tiny Dancer.

Agreed. The good news is I had 33 listed twice, so assuming there's only one song after 7:14, we're still at 41.

Problem: Clip 7 is Fake Plastic Trees from Radiohead. Lyrics in the clip:
"...eighties
But gravity always wins
It wears him out"

and there is no "perfect" anywhere else in the song.

Clip 14 is REM's Daysleeper. "I'm the screen the blinding light" are the words, no "perfect" elsewhere.

I think 16 is Goo Goo Dolls's Slide, not Eagle Eye Cherry?

18: Train, Drops of Jupiter?

20: Are you sure that's not from Phantom of the Opera? Or do I just have musicals on the brain from the other hunt?

The clip after Tiny Dancer (which is at 334 not 342) starting around 3:46: I think it's Ben Folds Five.

That makes it the fourth or fifth queen in a row (titles, bands, lyrics), yes? Depends on how many queens "Killer Queen by Queen is" Revenge most foul!

Maybe 4th queen just in lyrics.. I'd have to look at the sections.

Plus, I have no idea what it means..

maybe 4 perfects, 4 something.. 4 something else.. blah blah etc.
