Sir Patrick Moore (89)

As someone who lives in the middle of a big city, making "real" astronomy all but impossible, Patrick Moore was for many years my virtual guide to the universe, and The Sky At Night was one of the few shows I have been watching all of my life. I'll miss him.

Whilst Jack Klugman and RIchard Rodney Bennett both deserve their obituary coverage, for me they are both trumped by Gerry Anderson. Thunderbirds are Gone. Dispirited
