Had an idea tonight, but all I could come up with is below. Hopefully you'll be able to come up with better ones.

You and I nourished one crustacean to a higher level (5)
Tavern loggia, not so many (3)

No bites yet?

I'm not sure if this has been done before and already has a name. If not, I'd call this puzzle type a "Mirror Maker".

No harm. Pun intended!

I'll try to come up with something better. They seem much tougher to come up with than Sign Makers...

Zag
Unintentionally offensive old coot

They are harder because some letter combinations can't easily be reversed, forcing word breaks at that location. I tried this some time ago, but rather than making two sentences, I was just trying to make a palindrome (by just glomming them together). I never finished any that I was happy enough with to post.

Yep, these are tough. This one is slightly better, though still not good:

Lady Dorothy, verily, a bathroom break (6)
Cookware pieces give a little bonus to a worm? Crazy! (5)

Possibly

Dame Dot, Amen, a drawer stop
Pots reward a nematode? mad!

Not sure about that one word, though.

Close...just that one word. It is a straight semordnilap between the two sentences, similar to drawer<>reward, but not that one.

Ok, maybe

Dame Dot, Amen, a diaper stop
Pots repaid a nematode? mad!

I'm not able to match the tense in the clue and solution, but it does fit nicely.

Still not what I was intending, but it works. Maybe I should have just said "gratuity"

This is why I was so impressed by the MIT puzzle that used semordnilaps; even though they were all short, they are hard to construct coherently.

OK, here's a separate idea. We'll call this type a Space Maker:

Forest queue (2)
A few specially trained soldiers wanting (4)

This type might appeal to cryptic clue writers...

Here's what I was going for:

Forest queue (2) TREELINE
A few specially trained soldiers wanting (4) ThReE sEaLs In NeEd

Seems like it could work. Maybe I'll hold on to this idea for a Top GLer puzzle.

If you could make it so that the remaining letters also spelled out something, I would be extremely impressed. Extreme Delectation

Maybe I did (accidentally)

Forest queue (2) TREE LINE
That guy seems to be the handle of a scythe (3) HE'S A SNED
A few specially trained soldiers wanting (4) THREE SEALS IN NEED

Code:
T R E E L I N E
 H E S A S N E D
THREESEALSINNEED

Impressed?
