So, it's Nigma's turn for a road trip this weekend.
Hoorah extended leave
Based on my intended route, are there any Labyrinthers along the way it would behoove me to meet? I'm open to relatively minor detours (a half day or so).

Hmm. I think that this might be a little too much out of your way.

Depending on when your trip is, I might be able to meet you in Charlotte, NC. It's about 4 hours from me, but it's about 5 hours from your intended route. (That's Atlanta to Charlotte. There might be a better route, but much further north and your'e driving through the mountains.)

Apparently Google Maps thinks you'll drive 60MPH for 25 hours straight, or , assuming 8 hours of sleep and 2 for food intake (both for you and for the car), average at least 100 MPH Revenge most foul!

I'll leave Saturday morning.

I'll probably average 80-90, but if I go in uniform I could probably pull off 120+. Revenge most foul!

Alrighty, another road trip is in my very near future: Miami, Florida to (in the vicinity of) Norfolk, Virginia next week.

Anyone have any recommended sites or whatnots? This time I'm able to actually enjoy the trip.

I'll also be doing a cross country trip (coast to coast baby) at the end of the year: exact dates and route to be determined.

Stop in Charleston, SC to visit Fort Sumter. It's the site of the first engagement in the War of Northern Aggression.

I'm letting everyone know that if I go missing anytime soon, wordcross was the last person to see me alive.

Just sayin',

We're fated to never meet - I'm already in Kansas. Dispirited

If my travels bring me back to the East coast, I'll look you up.

The beginning of March is a good time to visit Fairbanks. The ice park is open and the weather is acceptable but still below freezing. It is about the nicest time of the year but through my bipolar nature, I am usually depressed in March

That gave me the chuckle I needed today. Thank you.

Maybe next time?

I'll be heading to Northern Cali in a couple of weeks (not via Fairbanks).
