Haven't looked at the rest, but that must be it.

EDIT: This seems to confirm my assumption. Keanu Reeves played Klaatu in The Day The Earth Stood Still, played by Michael Rennie in 1951.

Tom Cruise was in War of the Worlds from 1953, though the movies had different characters. The lead role in 1953 was played by Gene Barry.

Guy Pearce was in The Time Machine, which had a previous version in 1960.

George Clooney and Frank Sinatra as Danny Ocean is Ocean's 11.

Vince Vaughn and Anthony Perkins as Norman Bates in Psycho.

John Heder was in School for Scoundrels, a remake of the 1960 version.
