Your number of Pokemon cards reminds me of. . ." -- Chuck Gaydos

In this problen, my number of Pokemon cards reminds me of noon, midnight, and egg cartons. I have twelve, you see. Cubone, Drowzee, Hitmontop, Jigglypuff, Jynx, Kingler, Machoke, Nidoqueen, Scyther, Smeargle, Tentacruel, and Xatu, to be exact. Well, I used to have them, but I gave them to three Pokemon fans named Pi, Ka, and Chu. They had never seen Pokemon cards before.

I let each one have 4 cards. Your goal is to say which cards each one got and in what order. I shuffled the cards and gave one to each fan.

  • Pi said, "My Pokemon has the letter X in it!"
  • Ka said, "My Pokemon has the letter Y in it!!"
  • Chu said, "One of them has got Jynx!!!"

Wow, I've never seen someone so excited to see a letter X or Y in a Pokemon. Or so much excitment about what someone else had. I dealt everyone another card.

  • Pi said, "The total number of letters in my two Pokemon is divisible by 5!"
  • Ka said, "Hey, so are mine! My two Pokemon combined have a number of letter divisible by 5!"
  • Chu said, "So do I! We all have different multiples of 5!"

Wow, how exciting. Multiples of 5 letters. Like that will help in battles! I dealt everyone another card.

  • Pi said, "Of the vowels AEIOU, only one appears in both of my last two Pokemon!!"
  • Ka said, "That applies to my last two Pokemon, too!!!!!"
  • Chu said, "It's a small world, isn't it? My last two Pokemon I received have that property also!!!!!!"

Wow. Are they really fans of Pokemon? Or are they pretending? I dealt my last three cards.

Non one had much else to say, except Ka noted, "For all three of us, if you count the number of letters in each of our Pokemon in the order you gave them to us, you get four numbers in either non-increasing or non-decreasing sequence."

That should be enough info for you to solve it.

Can they see each other's cards, or was Chu somehow able to deduce that one of them has Jynx?

Unless I am reading something wrong, I get two answers, depending on who got Jynx:

Pi - Jynx, Cubone, Steelix, Machoke
Ka - Scyther, Smeargle, Nidoqueen, Hitmontop
Chu - Jigglypuff, Tentacruel, Drowzee, Xatu

Pi - Steelix, Smeargle, Nidoqueen, Hitmontop
Ka - Jynx, Cubone, Scyther, Machoke
Chu - Jigglypuff, Tentacruel, Drowzee, Xatu

Ok, so far:
Whoever ended up with Jynx in the first round has to recieve Cubone in the second, and if I understand the 4th clue correctly, Xatu in the third.
This leaves 15 and 20 as the only multiples of 5 remaining. Out of either Scyther or Steelix, the second round card must be Smeargle.
Chu must have recieved Jigglypuff and Tentacruel, but not necessarily in that order.

If I've completely misunderstood the clues, then this really doesn't help much

I was making it up as I went, and obviously went a little crazy. Modified for uniqueness.
