Rather like the recent bathroom puzzle, I solved it fairly quickly. I have made my solution invisible so others can try it too. The way to go is to consider the 9's and nearby 8's first.

Since posting new threads is restricted to moderators and administrators, if you wish to discuss an older puzzle, you will either need to find the old thread for that puzzle and bump it, or ask a mod or admin to open a new one for you. Using the old thread is preferred.
