| I pronounce the middle syllable of GALAXY much more like LICKS than LACKS, thus the clue. Not sure if that's a NE US thing or not, but my wife says it the same way. Nicely solved. |

I would say you're right, they are antonyms...but it seems to fit reasonably well. As I've jumped into the middle of this I'm not sure where the puzzle came from, but if it's from our side of the pond then that's why you're having problems.
BTW, I'm pretty sure that 20. Love bird is wrong...
